SIOUX FALLS — The annual Midco Aquatic Center Easter egg hunt is moving above ground.
It was announced late this week that the popular event, which attracted more than 500 people last year, will be outdoors this year in Spellerberg Park just north of the center starting at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8.
In the past, eggs were placed underwater inside the aquatic center’s recreational pool and children had to jump in to retrieve the.colored gems which contained chances for extra treats.
This year, the eggs will be spread throughout the park. Candy will also be given to participants.
The times for the hunt are divided by age groups. Those up to age 2 will gather their eggs at 2:30 p.m., with children from age 3 to 6 hunting at 3 p.m., those 7 to 11 at 3:30 p.m. and all other ages at 4 p.m.
