SIOUX FALLS — Police in Sioux Falls are investigating a series of vehicle burglaries occurring over the past week in the underground parking lot of an apartment complex.

Authorities on Monday, Jan. 9, received a report of a vehicle burglary at an apartment complex in the 4200 block of South Oxbow Avenue, near Sertoma Park.

The initial discovery of the burglary is believed to have led to a larger review of security footage from within the underground parking lot, police spokesman Sam Clemens said. The most recent burglary took place on Monday, Jan. 9, with two other burglaries being discovered in the morning and nighttime hours of Jan. 2.

Clemens said while no high-value items are believed to have been taken from the vehicles, the same suspect is believed to be responsible for each of the vehicle burglaries, which impacted three separate victims.

The Sioux Falls Police Department did not release any description of a possible suspect.
