SIOUX FALLS — Police in Sioux Falls are investigating two burglaries at the same location, both of which happened over the holiday weekend.
Shortly before 11:45 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, police were dispatched to the 1900 block of West 12th Street, west of downtown Sioux Falls, for a report of a burglary at One Stop Liquor.
Police spokesman Sam Clemens said that it appeared an unknown assailant has used a landscaping rock to shatter one of the business’s side-by-side glass doors. The suspect then entered the building, stole an undetermined number of vape cartridges and left.
Management had boarded up the shattered glass door and gone back home for the night.
Hours later, at 5 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, the store was burglarized again when another suspect shattered the other glass door to gain access to the store. More vape cartridges were stolen in the second burglary, as was an unknown amount of liquor.

Clemens noted that the store did have surveillance cameras that captured the break-ins, but that police were still working to obtain the footage and identify the suspects. During Tuesday’s regular crime briefing, Clemens gave no indication as to whether the break-ins were related or if they were committed by the same suspect.
No arrests have been made.
