SIOUX FALLS – A man was shot in the hand in the 500 block of South Duluth Avenue during a break-in early Monday, March 27, according to police.
The victim said he was sleeping when someone entered his apartment about 12:20 a.m. He wasn’t sure how many people there were – maybe up to three – and wasn’t able to give a good description of the intruders, police spokesperson Sam Clemens said during the regular briefing Monday.
Nothing was missing from the apartment, the victim told police.
“We’re still trying to figure out what happened,” Clemens said. “He didn’t have that much of a description so we’ll have to work with the victim to see if we can figure out, maybe if he knows more information.”
The man was taken to a hospital and treated for the injuries.
