South Dakota State snapped a two-game losing streak by escaping Kansas City with a 67-66 win over the Kangaroos on Monday night at the Swinney Center. The game was a makeup of a contest previously scheduled for Dec. 21 but postponed due to weather.

Zeke Mayo had 24 points to lead the Jacks (12-11, 7-4), hitting a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left to provide the final margin, and UMKC missed a pair of opportunities to win, including a nearly miraculous attempted tip-in at the buzzer off an in-bounds pass with 0.3 seconds.

William Kyle had 20 points and seven rebounds for the Jacks, who shot 51.1 percent from the floor to UMKC's 43.3 percent. The Kangaroos were 3-of-19 from outside the arc, while SDSU was 6-for-15.

The Jacks were still without guard Charlie Easley, who is nearing return from an injury, while Alex Arians missed his third straight game for personal reasons.

Shemarri Allen had 23 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Kangaroos, while RayQuanwdis Mitchell had 19 points and Allen Mukeba eight points and 10 boards.

The Jacks return home to face North Dakota and North Dakota State this weekend at Frost Arena. They host the Fighting Hawks on Thursday and the Bison on Saturday afternoon.

Oral Roberts stays unbeaten with rout of Coyotes

Oral Roberts shot 55 percent from the floor and made 18 3-pointers to blow past USD 103-53.

With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 11-0 in Summit League play, and 20-4 overall. USD falls to 10-13 and 5-6 in conference.

Max Abmas has 31 points to lead the Eagles, while Isaac McBride had 20 points and Kareem Thompson 13 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and three steals. Connor Vanover had 10 points, five boards and four blocks and Patrick Mwamba seven points and 11 rebounds. Trey Phipps had nine points and four assists. Abmas was 7-of-12 from 3.

Mason Archambault led the Coyotes with 11 points and Kruz Perrott-Hunt added 10.

USD shot 32 percent from the floor - 22 percent in the first half.

The Coyotes will host North Dakota State on Thursday and North Dakota on Saturday at 1 p.m.
