SIOUX FALLS — JT Rock can add another wild story to his burgeoning legend.
The 7-foot-1 Lincoln High center pulled the rim off the basket while throwing down a dunk in Tuesday night's game at the Lincoln gym against Watertown.
The damage led to a delay and eventually the game had to be moved from the main gym to the auxiliary court.

Lincoln would win the game 74-60 behind 30 points from Rock, who added nine rebounds and five assists.
The play happened early in the second quarter. The Patriots were on a fast break, and Jack Hilgenberg found Rock as the center was streaking down the lane. Rock went up and threw down a two-handed dunk, and as he was landing the top piece of the rim was pulled down off of the base that attaches it to the backboard.

Rock is one of the biggest (literally and figuratively) prep basketball stars in recent South Dakota history. He's committed to play college basketball at Iowa State for former Jackrabbits coach T.J. Otzelberger.

Tate Schafer added 11 points for the Patriots, who are ranked 2nd in Class AA. Caden Beauchamp had 25 points for the Arrows while Jake Olson added 16.
