SIOUX FALLS — The Hoop City Classic is back, and there are 28 games spread out across three days in girls and boys high school basketball. The action starts Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Corn Palace in Mitchell before the Sanford Pentagon hosts nine games on Thursday, Dec. 29. The classic returns to Mitchell on Friday, Dec. 30.
Games start in Sioux Falls at 9 a.m. Thursday with the Viborg-Hurley girls playing Campbell County (Wyoming) in the first game of the day. The No. 1 Sioux Falls Jefferson boys play Orono (Minnesota) at 6 p.m.; Brandon Valley takes on Houston (Tennessee) at 7:30 p.m. and Sioux Falls Christian plays Thunder Basin (Wyoming) at 9 p.m.
The nine games in Sioux Falls features teams from five states. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids in K-12. Kids younger than 4 are admitted for free.
